In our analysis, we tried to understand the evolution of the discourse, and particularly the teacher's role in it. What seems evident is the emergent nature of the KB talk that often doesn't unfold in alignment with the teacher's plan. As well, the role of Richard Messina in this process is very critical, and seems to have echoed what Carl called for in his keynote: The teacher should lead the KB process in a way that all ideas come from students.
